Check out Auction #2 of the Hendricks Machine and Welding Shop out of Parsons Kansas. We are breaking it down into two sessions for your bidding pleasure. Be on the lookout for Session #2. Each session will close independently of one another with convenient loadout times for both sessions to be held at the same time. You will find a nice mix of merchandise in both sessions including lots and lots of tools. We’ve signed this up as multiple sales and will be peeling away the layers as we work our way through nearly 50 years of Terry’s Tooling Around. Terry Hendricks moved to Parsons, Kansas when he was thirteen years old and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1964. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a SONAR operator aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown. He returned to Parsons in 1966 and worked as a television repairman for ten years. He later opened Hendricks’ Welding and Machine, a business that specialized in building car engines and racing stock cars or any little job that friends needed done. He was an avid MOPAR enthusiast and a pioneer of the Funny Car racing genre. The Tools used are here, there and everywhere and you should all expect the MOPAR items coming soon. Terry Hendricks was known for his passion for drag racing and his skill as a mechanic and driver. He raced with various teams and sponsors, such as Herrera and Sons, Doug Thorley, Pete Seaton, Jay Howell, and Super Shaker. He set several records and won many races in his career, competing with some of the best drivers of his time. He also contributed to the development of the Funny Car Genre, which featured modified production cars with powerful engines and aerodynamic bodies. He was a legend in the Southeast Kansas racing scene and a respected member of the drag racing community with write-ups in the like of Motor Trend, and more! Please Note: Not all items have been tested unless specified in the description and everything sells in “as is” condition. Everything sells to the highest bidder with NO Reserve and NO Sales Tax and it all starts at $2 per lot. Due to the nature of the sale, our Buyers will need to come prepared to pack up and pack out their own winning(s). We will have limited help available but will do all we can to assist so bring helpers, bring a dolly, bring a truck & trailer large enough to haul out your winnings.
